The cultivation of dill

Website: Choose an area that is derived with good rich soil. Plants such as dill full sun with afternoon shade.

Propagation: dill not take well to disturbance. The seeds are sown in April where the plants grow apart and thin to 12 inches.

Growing: Dill grows best in spring and fall and not do well when the hot part of summer is about 85 degrees on the hottest stand it before it shrinks and dies or can bolt to flower. It grows to about a foot or so tall and extend the flowering stems up to 3 meters high.

Harvesting: Cut To harvest seed, the stems when the flower heads have to brown. Tie a paper bag over each flower-head and hang the stems upside down in bunches. The leaves are tender and delicate, they must, as soon as they're edited to be used. You can start cutting as soon as the plant is about 6 inches tall by the outer leaves and leaving the main trunk intact for the new leaves grow from.

Culinary uses: Chop the leaves before adding to dips, sauces for fish such as salmon stuffed cream, salad dressings, tuna and chicken salads, eggs, cabbage, cucumber and, of course. Dill is exceptionally good with sour cream, yogurt and cream cheese. The main use of the seeds is used in pickling pickles, but they can also be added to cakes, bread, fish and rice dishes.
