Meliot / Sweet Clover

Meliot / Sweet Clover..................

This biennial is a little unusual, as it is originally from England and Wales, you may need the seeds from a nursery, so deals are difficult to find seeds or plants (there are several on-list it). Also as sweet clover.

Once you find it, you will not regret it. Clover produces long spikes of yellow pea like flowers in summer, like a magnet for bees. The bushy stems grow about 2 meters high.

It is the clover-leaves and flowers that are not used. You may occasionally refreshing tea with them or make chopping and add filling - the flavor is often described as honey or almond as described. This almond scent is like when the leaves are dried, so they make a nice addition to potpourri.

There is an original taste of beer and cheese. In Switzerland is green cheese Schabzieger and Gruyère.

It is closely related, blue clover in Switzerland is used to give color and taste of cheese Schabziger.
